2025
In 2025 I had the privilege of being commissioned by the Wellington City Council to not only install a kaleidoscope of my Red Admirals in the new public park in Owen Street, Newtown, but also create 2 murals and the designs for 2 power boxes. I worked with a group of 8-10 year old students from Newtown School to design and paint aspects of the artworks capturing the lifecycle of one of New Zealand's most beautiful native butterflies, the Kahukura Red Admiral. Here's one of the power boxes at the entrance to the park where I've turned the box into an Onga onga plant which is the host plant for the Kahukura.

One of the 5 artworks commissioned by the Wellington City Council for the new park in Owen Street. 6 Red Admirals and 2 Yellow Admirals installed on the poles and surrounding trees in the nature play area.
